Honestly though, I hope all these calls for a state funeral don’t turn into another excuse for politicians to spend public money or score points with voters. The best way to honor his legacy would be to let the people and private groups celebrate him in their own way, not turn it into some big government production. Real respect comes from the fans, not from state ceremonies.
