It’s a sad day for Ghana—Daddy Lumba was a true legend who carried our traditions and values through his music. His songs always reminded us of the importance of family, respect, and our cultural roots, which young people today really need to hear more of. I hope the government gives him the kind of state funeral he deserves, so our youth can see how we honor those who uphold our culture. Let’s not forget the messages in his lyrics and keep his legacy alive by promoting more music that reflects our Ghanaian identity. May he rest in peace, and may our leaders continue to support and preserve our cultural heritage.

This is such a huge loss for Ghana—Daddy Lumba’s music brought so many people together, regardless of their background or status. Moments like this really highlight how culture and the arts are part of our collective identity, not just something for the elite. I hope the government recognizes his legacy with a proper state funeral and maybe invests more in supporting local artists who shape our national spirit. Social democracy is all about uplifting everyone, and honoring legends like Daddy Lumba reminds us why public support for the arts matters.

Daddy Lumba’s impact goes way beyond music—his work brought people together and challenged old norms, so let’s hope his legacy inspires Ghana to keep pushing for progress and inclusivity in the arts and beyond.

Sad to hear about Daddy Lumba’s passing—he was a true original and his music meant a lot to so many. Honestly though, I hope all these calls for a state funeral don’t turn into another excuse for politicians to spend public money or score points with voters. The best way to honor his legacy would be to let the people and private groups celebrate him in their own way, not turn it into some big government production. Real respect comes from the fans, not from state ceremonies.
