It’s great to see Ghana pushing for mining reforms that actually prioritize local communities and environmental protection

Sharing mining revenues directly with the people affected is a huge step toward economic justice. Cracking down on illegal mining is important, but I hope the government also supports small-scale miners to transition into legal, sustainable operations instead of just punishing them. Overall, these changes show that governments can—and should—regulate industries to serve the public good, not just corporate profits.
